# A message from UKIM Managing Director Ian Scanlan

**"**At UKIM, our purpose is to deliver outstanding customer service to all of our clients. Our original focus when we started the business in 2003, was **Independent Medical Reporting** – now 20 years on, we are as committed as ever to delivering the best possible service in this area; as well as across our full suite of medical services, including **Rehabilitation**, **Diagnostics & Treatments**, **Pagination** and **Health & Wellbeing**.

We’re constantly evolving to bring the market what it needs and we’re really excited to have just launched our newly developed **Mental Wellbeing Service** which utilises our extensive psychological support staff and national resources to improve mental wellbeing in professional sport and the legal services sector. We see this as a positive step to taking a proactive approach in mitigating the costly impact of poor mental health on the UK population.

We wouldn’t be anything without you – some of you have been with us right from the start and others are new to UKIM and we can’t thank you enough for trusting us with your business. I can confidently say, **you’re in safe hands** with us – I know this because we have the best team here in the North East – from our newest apprentices to our clinical teams and everyone in between.
